William Hill Poker Review

Reasons to Join

As an online poker site, they have everthing to offer, all the games and options one could want from an online site, while maintaining a homely feel to it. I cannot recommend William Hill mtt's highly enough.

Software

William Hill Poker is part of the Ipoker network. The software at William Hill runs smoothly, has a classy look and provides pretty much anything you would wish for an online site to provide.

All of the different game varieties are well filtered and the software also provides a very useful game search filter,in which you simply input the game type and stake you wish to play and the software goes to work and provides you with the current list of games available at your desired level, saving you the need to scroll through the whole variety of options.

Ring Games

William Hill being part of the Ipoker network ensures that its customers will never be lacking some action when it comes to ring games.

Latest figures show that at peak times there are over 10,000 players sat at real money ring games, which is a huge number which is competitive with any site or network.

The majority of action is to be found at both limit and no limit holdem, although pot limit omaha sees a lot of action as well. The standard in general is certainly on the poor side and with such a huge number of players sitting it is very easy to stay clear of the few sharks and find yourself a few tables full of weaker players and have them all to yourself.Games run continuosly 24/7 at all levels.

Tournaments

With tournaments being my preferred game type, this is a section I always look forward to checking out. If you are like me then you will not be left disappointed when checking out the scene at William Hill Poker.

New tournaments start almost every minute with a huge number of options at all levels of buy-ins. You can find slow, medium and fast structured tournaments.

The structures in general have greatly improved over the last 6 months or so and now provide a good player with even more room to manipulate his/her weaker opponents. The field sizes at William Hill are sizeable but the standard of play is really quite shockingly bad,it is common for hundreds of runners to have fallen by the wayside before the first break.

I cannot recommend William Hill mtt's highly enough.

10/10

Sit & Gos

If sit & go's are your game then William Hill is the place for you. There is action aplenty at all levels,be it $1 or $50.The sit & go market has almost been given a new lease of life over the last year.No longer are they just 10 person games which pay the top 3,now you can choose 6 with top 2 paid or of course heads-up,which is becoming more and more popular.

A lot of people are now playing turbo sit & go's as they are quickly finished which allows you to get a lot more played in a shorter space of time or even just to have a quick game while waiting to go out.

Double or nothing games have become hugely popular and this is no different at William Hill.10 pays 5 or 6 pays 3 whrre everyone gets paid the same amount, double the buy-in as the name would suggest.

So plenty of action, lots of variety and a whole load of bad and weak players means a lot of value to be found at William Hill sit & go's.

9/10

Support

William Hill supports is second to none. The staff are both friendly and helpful and are available to help over the phone or via email and also via the very useful live chat which operates 24/7.

Banking

William Hill have over 30 different banking options to choose from to both deposit and withdraw, all of which are instant for depositing. For withdrawing all of the online wallet options are a reasonable 2 working days process. Bank transfers seem to take a little longer than they ideally should, quoted at "7-14 working days" But with such a vast array of banking options and methds to choose from, this slight problem can easily be avoided

7/10

Standard of Players

General standard of players at William Hill poker is below average. The standard at ring games is a mixed bag, there are certainly some good and other competent players, but with the huge number of players in the pool, the fish are there to be found. The standard in tournaments and sit & go's is well below average and easily beatable for a semi-good player, this is where the vale is to be found for sure.

9/10

Loyalty Promotions

William Hill Poker operate a VIP club as the basis of their loyalty promotions. You earn VIP points as you play on the site and if you reach the amount needed by the end of each month you can move up a rung on the VIP ladder.

Some of the benefits of the VIP club are reload bonuses, cashback, entry to various freerolls(with higher rizepools the higher you climb) and a loyalty shop.

8/10

Summary

William Hill remain a big name on the UK and Ireland poker market. They remain so by being associated with live tournaments such as the English Open and Irish Winter Festival, both of which you can qualify online for with William Hill Poker.

William Hill seem to be the everymans site when it comes to the poker market, that is certainly the slice of the pie I would associate themselves with.

They maintain strong roots with the local scene, which they rcognise as their "bread and butter" and so pay more attention to that when others seem to neglect it.

As an online poker site, they have everthing to offer, all the games and options one could want from an online site, while mantaing a homely feel to it.
