Signing Up

I have to admit, prior to checking the site out,I had never heard of Centrebet. But signing up was hassle free, just a simple download of the software followed by the registration process and you're good to go. Centrebet offer a 100% first depositors bonus upto $600,and anybody signing up in a currency other than dollars will receive the equivalent in their own currency. Centrebet also have a weekly $250 freeroll which is exclusive for new players, which run each Wednesday and new players have upto 3 months to play these.

Software

Centrebet's software is efficient and competitive. It runs smoothly without any problems and is easily downloaded. The lobby is well laid out and easy on the eye. It is easy to navigate your way around the lobby and the cashier, support, help and options etc are all easily accessed and in view. The games are well filtered on the left hand side of the poker lobby, which is always handy in saving yourself time looking for the game types you wish to play, simply use the filters provided to eliminate the games you have no interest in from your view. The software has a nice mini-view feature for the tables, making multi-tabling easier. A buddy list is a welcome addition to the software, allowing you to keep track of any fish you may have spotted and make them easily findable the next time you log on, of course you can also have your actual friends on the list, so you can keep an eyeon if they actually win as much as they claim to hehe.

Ring Games

There is a plethora of ring game action to be found at Centrebet Poker.

If holdem is your game, whether it be limit or no limit, then you will have a huge choice of games at any stakes you desire ranginf from 1c/2c blinds all the way upto the nosebleed stakes of the likes of $100/$200.

If you are ahead of the game and omaha is your choice then there is sure to be some soft games to be found,as the pot limit omaha games continue to grow ever more popular and more and more holdem players begin to drift across to the 4 carded game experimenting.

The likes of 7 card stud and 5 card stud are also provided, I can't say I spent too much time researching these, but needless to say the games do not run as often as their holdem or omaha counterparts.

Tournaments

Tournaments are the main attraction for players at Centrebet Poker, it is certainly where a lot of the action happens.

There is a huge amount of tournaments to choose from no matter what size of bankroll you are working with. A buy-in of $1-$10 can still get you access to tournaments with prizepools the size of $10,000.

Centrebet's flagship tournament is the Sunday weekly $250,000 guarranteed prizepool freezeout which has a buy-in of $320, while they also have huge prizepools throughout the week as big as $100,000 on Fridays,$50,000 on Saturdays and $35,000 daily.I have to say I was hugely impressed with the amount of high-profile live events that Centrebet provide satellites to.

They basically cover the 4 corners of the world and provide you with the opportunity to win packages to the Asian Poker Tour, the Pokernews Cup which is held in Australia, the WPT which is the American version of the EPT and then of course the Irish Winter Festival.

Sit & Gos

Centrebet Poker provide every variation of sit & go poker that a poker player could think of. Regular speed, turbo and super-turbo versions are provided of 10 seater and 6 seater games,as well as heads-up.

Doublestack games are available for that dying breed of players who favour playing some poker.

Double your money games provide a large chunk of the action of course,it really is amazing how popular they have become since arriving on the poker scene, 10 or 6 players, half win and double their money, the other half lose theirs, wash, rinse and repeat.

Centrebet of course run the network wide sit & go promotion known as "jackpot".These are all 6 handed sit & go's, and if you win 6 in a row you will receive a sizeable bonus payment, with a consolation prize for 6 top 2 finishes in a row (for example, win 6 $20 stt's in a row, and you get a $35,000 bonus. 6 top 2 finishes in a row gets you a $300 bonus) so while the odds are stacked against you, you will certainly be well rewarded if you manage to achieve it.

Support

My first encounter with Centrebet and I can only commend their customer support team. They are available 24/7 and although I personally didn't attempt to verify this, they are available for a number of languages,English,Swedish,Finnish,Norweigan,Danish and Spanish which is some going.

Banking

Banking with Centrebet Poker is available via all of the usual and most common methods, all major cards and online e-wallets. From my own personal experience depositing and withdrawing took the standard amount of time,so no complaints.

8/10

Standard of Players

The overall standard of players at Centrebet Poker is low. I focused primarily on tournaments and sit & go's while playing there and can safely say that the average player is weak and exploitable.

I did play some cash during the week and from what I saw the standard is just as poor.

Loyalty Promotions

Centrebet Poker have an Australian themed VIP programme, similar to those available on other ipoker skins. You earn points as you play and obviously the more you earn the higher level of VIP you will achieve.

Some of the benefits of being a VIP are earning points at a quicker rate(further helping you to move to the next level), quicker cashouts and also cashback offers which are received weekly.

There are also some exclusive VIP tournaments, freerolls with greater prizepools as you progress up the ladder.

Summary

This was my first encounter with Centrebet both as a brand and a poker site.It was a positive encounter without being mind-blowing.

They do have all of the bases covered however and are competitive in the market with what they offer their players.

They do also have one of the best selections when it comes to satellites for offline tournament packages, which is a big plus point in my opinion.
